ECCLESTONE RECTIFIES REMARKS

Bernie Ecclestone, the head of Formula 1 came to Valencia late last week to in fact apologise for his remarks about the circuit that he made in Barcelona, when he stated that the decision to stage the races in Valencia was precipitously taken.

Jorge Martinez, one of the main organizers of the Valencian event, expressed his concern at the remarks made by Mr Ecclestone, which were termed by Mayoress Rita Barbera as Surprising. Mr Ecclestone, during his recent visit stated that in no way did he intend to belittle the Valencian event and that the work that had been undertaken to ensure its success was exceptional
