LOOKING GOOD AND JOSEPH RIBKOFF
Staff Reporter / 2009-04-16 17:53:50
If the huge turnout to see the Looking Good Joseph Ribkoff fashion show was anything to go by, the day was a massive success. The event caused so much hype people were queuing at the door to get into the shop.
This annual event seems to get better and better each year. A Ribkoff team comes across from Canada to dress the shop and the exclusive garments are displayed beautifully. The chosen theme this year was the raffle, for which there were 8 prizes. The top two prizes were won by regular customers, who were obviously chuffed to bits to win vouchers for 500 and 250 euros.
One of the nicest things about the Looking Good fashion shows is the fact that all the dresses are modeled by real women, who are all customers and friends of the boutique. Not only do these women all look great, they also give the Looking Good team some great feedback on the clothes they are modelling, and give the public the chance to see the garments on real women with real curves.
There was a fantastic response to the new collection, which this year is full of bright colours and sparkling jackets. People took advantage of the 10% off and more items were sold on the day than in any previous event. Even the day after, on Sunday morning, people were coming back to try on items they had seen the day before. The positive outcome may be due to two reasons: At Looking Good they really listen to their customers and respond to their wishes. And, secondly, the Ribkoff range makes all women of all ages feel good. The range was modelled by women aged from 22 to 70, of all sizes, and they all looked and felt fantastic. The broad appeal is gained by the classic tailoring, beautiful fabrics and timeless pieces. This is why Joseph Ribkoff has become one of biggest fashion companies in the world.
One of the best sellers on the day were the sparkly jackets, which can dress up absolutely any dress or outfit.
This year, for the first time, a charity was adopted for the day. The Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre in Rojales was chosen, and they were thrilled to be given over 200 euros which was raised on the day through the sale of cakes on the home-baked stand.
If you now want something else to look forward to, a red carpet event is in the pipeline, with a completely seated area throughout the shop and the terrace outside. More details to follow shortly.
