A MILLION EURO FOR ALBOX IMPROVEMENTS

The Provincial government has allocated over a million euros to the towns of Purchena alme - Riens and Albox so they can redevelop the public spaces around two groups of houses managed by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing through Land Public Company ( EPSA) .
The provincial delegate of the Ministry, Anda Vinuesa, was on hand to see the start of proceedings last Tuesday which it is hoped will be completed early next year. The work will include replacement of pavements, some areas of roadway and improved lighting which it is hoped will enhance the quality of life for residents and improve the condition of the public spaces in the area.
In Purchena work began a week ago, and is taking place in and around the barrio del Castillo, specifically the environment of 11 homes built fifteen years ago. With a budget of over 700,000 euro, the contractor is expected to completed the work in March, involving the upgrading and replacement of water supply and sanitation networks , replacement of paving, public lighting, a number of stone walls, signage, street furniture, and improved access to the neighbourhood.
The improvement works in the neighborhood of San Francisco de Albox, built in 1991, have a budget of 336 400 euros and is expected to be complete early next year. The work, which has been awarded to the company Albaida, consist of upgrading and replacement of water supply and sanitation networks, phone networks , improved street lighting, paving and signage.
