Stan Boyles Winner December Stablefo

First of all, and nothing to do with golf, I would like to congratulate one of our members, Bruce Leckey. His son, Mark Leckey, won the Turner prize for Art in UK earlier this week. Many congratulations to Mark and to Bruce .obviously Mark gets his artistic talent from Bruce!!!

Also I would like to mention our new Marshal on the course, Maurice Bent, who was recently made an Honorary Member of Eurogolf Society for his long and dedicated service to our society.
Sadly due to ill health, Maurice is unable to play golf anymore, but has kindly agreed to act as Marshal on Tuesdays and Thursdays .or has Enid chucked him out of the house for a bit of peace and quiet!! Anyway, we really appreciate Maurice helping us out.

Today was a perfect day for golf, a little cold and chilly to start with but conditions improved and some good scores came in. Congratulations to all prize winners.

Finally, Ian Turner has asked me to mention his much improved golf game, all due to the recent golf lessons he has been having, he said if I mentioned his golf coach in the news report maybe he would get a discount for his next lesson ..all I can say is "no comment" you will have to ask Ian yourselves!!
