LOCAL ARTIST PRESENTS WORK IN FEMALE EXHIBITION SPACE

The Deputy of Social Welfare, Gender and Family, Almudena Valentine, and the deputy of Equality, Elisa Fernandez, inaugurated last Tuesday the exhibition “Meeting with the painting” by the artist Maria Dolores Rodriguez, in the exhibition room 'Women's Space' of the Provincial de Almería.
It is the first time that the author has explained her artwork and does so with a collection inspired by the province of Almeria which is on public display until 17 July. The head of Social Services Almeria, Aránzazu Martin, also attended the inauguration.
Born in Almeria and self-taught, Maria Dolores Rodriguez has experienced this vocation since she was very young. The exhibition brings together a total of 24 works inspired by the light and landscapes of the earth, a collection of floral portraits, panoramas, seascapes and landscapes.
Women's Space is an exhibition that the Provincial de Almería, through the Provincial Women's Service, available to Almeria for artists to display their cultural manifestations. This cultural centre was opened in 2000 and has a very full schedule. The project was developed in order to establish a platform to promote cultural events for women.
