Crescendo International Choir will be performing a fundraising concert for victims of the massive flooding that took place in Vega Baja last month. The concert will take place Sunday, November 24 at 6 pm at Salt Church in Los Montesinos.

To attend, you only need to donate 5 euros at the door and all funds raised will be given to the Red Cross of Spain (Cruz Roja Espanola) to benefit victims of recent flooding in the area. Salt Church is located at Pol. Ind. Levante II, Calle Daya Nueva,12, in Los Montesinos.

Crescendo Choir performs a wide variety of popular and sacred music at its concerts, singing in both English and Spanish. Most of its members are from the United Kingdom or Holland, though it also has members from Scandinavia and even two singers from the United States.

The choir rehearses at Sacko’s Bar in Plaza International, in the El Limonar Urbanization in Torrevieja. Newcomers are welcome to join. We especially encourage men to give it a try. Rehearsal times are from 5:30 to 8 pm on Mondays.

We are made up of sopranos, altos, tenors and basses.  The choir’s music director is Irena Oliva and the pianist is Cristian Martinez. Both of them are Spanish. For more information, go to www.crescendo-choir.com.
