This weeks event saw 48 players attend Villamartin supported by one of our loyal sponsors Mick The Grip.
The course was in great condition which resulted in good scoring but unfortunately not for everyone in particular Tony Smale who posted a poultry 21pts but did receive the loudest rendition of ‘HI Ho’ the Society has ever heard!!
The 2’s pot was only contested by three players so well done to John (The Hat) Aird, Dodgy Declan Crowley and Mike Greatorix.
Nearest the pins sponsored by The Alehouse and Mick The Grip had Jonny Gray taking two prizes in Silver followed by that man Declan again and Callum Hitcham in gold.
We had nine guests today which saw Kathie Buzzeo in 3rd with 32pts off 19, Robert Easter 2nd with 35pts off 18 and a triumphant Derrick Pope with a great score of 36pts off 16.
On to our divisions now and in Silver 3rd place went to Liz Thornton with 36pts off 30 and Liz also claimed Best Lady of the day behind Cockney John Fletcher 2nd with 37pts off 19 and winner John (The Hat) Aird with 38pts off 20.
In Gold 3rd place went to England bound Callam Hitcham with 37pts off scratch 2nd was Colin Wilson also 37pts off 12 but miles ahead of everybody on the day was Dave (The Marshall) Lethaby with a brilliant 41pts off 8!!!
Mick The Grip provided several other prizes which was very much appreciated and saw lots of players on the podium so well done to all winners and participants.
