Juan Manuel Lorente Ros has been appointed as the new President of Racing San Miguel CF following a meeting of the board of directors at the Valencia 1st Regional Group 8 club.

Juan has been involved with Racing since the club was formed and has shown total commitment to the promotion of grassroots football in San Miguel.

“We wish Juan all the luck in the world and appreciate his full willingness to acquire the commitment to take a step forward on behalf of the club,” said a RSM spokesperson.

The club thanked the work of José Antonio Fructuoso Mellado, and members for their selfless work during the past years: “We are convinced that they will continue to support us,” added the spokesperson.

New manager Willy has been busy in signing new players – and been successful in talks with current players agreeing to remain at the club – for the 2019-20 season.

Cristian Garre Andreu, who has come through the Academy, is set to make his first team debut this season. Former Elche player Esteban Hagenaass, has joined the club.

Current players Gabi Ruiz Vicente, Christian Hurtado Guillaman, Daniel Quesada Wilson, Jose Manuel Fernandez, Castillo Sergio, Ruiz Vicente, Mario Pastor Gomez, Jose Miguel and Garcia Quesada will all remain.

“We have added strength to the squad- and many current players at the club agreeing to stay – demonstrates their commitment,” said Willy.

“Without doubt they will play a key role for the 2019-20 season ahead, and thereafter,” said Willy.

Racing San Miguel supporters have voiced their joy at the news coming out of the club: “The illusion of Racing returns,” Luismi Serrano Ruiz told me.

“May God distribute luck. These sound like something to me,” said Jose Antonio Fractuoso Mellado.
