Friday 12th was a nice bright and slightly breezy day; ideal for a pleasant easy walk in the Spanish countryside. 27 members of the Torrevieja U3A Easy Walkers group took advantage of the time as they strolled along the banks of the Segura near Benejuzar toward the small hamlet of La Seco where they were greeted by a muster of Peacocks calling out to them.

After stopping for a well-earned lunch break the group turned back towards Algorfa and their cars for the journey home.

Monday 15th had a coachload of members taking a trip to L’Albarda Jardin out Denia way; beautifully laid out gardens at which they were greeted by an excellent guide and staff and treated to a piece of home-made carrot cake each before being taken on a sightseeing tour around the gardens.

Afterwards the group travelled to the Ondara Mall where the ladies were able to indulge in some shopping, and everyone could partake in having a spot of lunch before eventually returning to Torrevieja mid afternoon.

These are just two examples of the activities available to all members of the Torrevieja U3A. If you are interested in joining and taking part in the many, then simply visit the website torreviejau3a.org. and read all about us.
