Torrevieja branch of the Royal British Legion have now set up their own petanca team and with 50 people turning up for the first game they are looking good .
Hopefully after a few more fun or should we say practise days, they are hoping to play a few friendly games against other petanca teams in the area , and possibly meet up and play against other legion branches. The branch meet the second Friday of the month at the bowls club in San Luis, Casa Ventura , meetings starts at 7 pm .
If anyone is interested in playing either petanca or joining our excellent bowls team the Legionnaires , we would love to see you come along , you don’t have to be ex forces to play or join .
The people on the door will give you all the information you need , plus there is usually entertainment following the short meeting . Hope to see you at our next meeting on the 12th April
