The Pink Ladies were the chosen charity for the magnificent St Patrick’s Day Parade held last week in Cabo Roig and as such they were able to ‘jig along’ with the musicians, dancers, the floats and the many other performers and artistes, shaking their buckets as they did so, in support of their extremely worthwhile cause.

However, the proceeds from the collection are always split between the charity and the parade itself, which annually costs approximately 20,000 euro, so when organiser Maria called in to Golf Sun on Thursday she was able to hand over 600 euro to the President of the Parade Committee, Ray Kearney.

Ray thanked Maria for her efforts, stating that the contribution will help to offset the cost of next year’s 10th Anniversary Parade, which already promises to be bigger and better than ever. However with police now estimating last week’s crowds at over 20,000 the organisers are already wondering how they can possibly attract even more people to the event.
