The Rojales Pantomime Group held their very own unique Oscars Award Ceremony at The Pines Restaurant in Benijofar, Costa Blanca to give out awards to the best of the cast and crew from the recent very successful pantomime, Camelot The Panto, which was enjoyed by audiences in January, and which raised lots of money for various local charities.

All group members were invited to cast their votes as to who, in their opinion, merited an award in five different categories which resulted in the following winners receiving a miniature Oscar trophy, which we are sure they will treasure!  Well done to you all…

Best Actor – Michelle Martin (pictured).   Best Supporting Actor – Sue Sellwood.   Best Newcomer – Martyn Naylor.   Best Production Crew – Jim Bell.   Chairman’s Award – Derek Berry.

The Producer, John Fagg and Director, Thelma Judson were both given awards for their patience and perseverance as they steered the cast and crew through months of  rehearsals to produce an amazing pantomime,  and still managed to stay sane!

A very special award was also presented to our newest and youngest member, Madison Murphy aged 7 (pictured) who played no less than 3 parts – a knight, a witch and Jake the Snake.   Well done to Maddy – a possible star in the making?

Over sixty people, including friends and family, enjoyed a fabulous 3-course meal, followed by the awards ceremony with everyone ending up dancing the night away to a local group.  If anyone is interested in joining our very merry group to either join the cast or the crew for our next pantomime, soon to be decided, email us at: rojalespantomime@gmail.com or check us out on www.rojalespantomime.com.

Well done to all the cast and crew of The Rojales Pantomime Group – you are ALL WINNERS!
