The Local Police service offers a direct response to the people in the town with a round the clock public service. The range of honorary distinctions included those for Individual Public Recognition, as well as variety of Medals given for Merit, Distinguished Services, Long Service to Mojácar and one to the Force as a whole.  All are to be granted following plenary session agreement and the proposal through the Mayor’s Office, following a report by the Chief of Police with the approval of the Area Delegate Councillor for Citizen Security.

Other items on the day’s agenda included the approval of the previous year’s financial  budget surplus implementation, to be used for financially sustainable investments, costing 1,414,633 Euros.  The remainder will be allocated, in accordance with the Budgetary Stability and Financial Sustainability Law, to reduce the remaining debt.
