Good news for expatriates living in Spain with last week’s approval by the Consejo de Ministros, of the Royal Decree, offering important assurances on issues like residency and access to healthcare for the more than 300,000 British nationals who have chosen to make Spain their home, and for the many millions more British tourists who visit Spain each year.

The British Ambassador, Simon Manley, welcomed the announcement.

Confirmation that the Provincial Court has dismissed the appeal lodged by the former mayor of the PP in San Fulgencio, Carlos Ramírez, against the eight and a half year period of disqualification from public office and still in politics, news that Damaso Aparicio has been adopted as the mayoral candidate for the upcoming Municipal Elections by the electoral committee responsible for the Orihuela municipality despite national leadership support from Pablo Casado for the current mayor Emilio Bascuñana.
