Our annual Captain vs Vice-Captain match took place last Thursday , and two teams of 16 members per side took to the difficult terrain that is Villamartin to support their respective leader.

Probably due to the hollow-tining  and the unbelievable pace of the greens, scoring Stableford points was at a premium for most players.

Final total scores were in favour of Captain Bill Stobo with 379 points with Vice-Captain Geoff Ettridge’s team trailing 35 points behind.

The difficulty of the course was shown by the average score for the day being less than 23 points.

Nearest the pins went to Alistair Quin,Ray Hill,Louvain Smith and Julie Haywood.

The Twos Pot was shared between Tim Ruse and Les Pirie.

Our next game is a BonAlba on February 21st, 10.00 first tee at a cost of 40Euros. The list is on the board at the Sports Centre or contact Alan Craig on a100ac@yahoo.co.uk.

Thanks to Helena for the aftermatch food, delicious as usual.
