The Leader racing tipster Andrew Atkinson hit the bookies in the opening handful of races with a 24-1 treble on Saturday – with headline selection Champagne Platinum romping home by 4 1/2 lengths!

Nicky Henderson trained Champagne Platinum, ridden by Barry Geraghty, was victorious in the 16 runner field at Newbury when landing the Betway 2 miles Hurdle at even money.

At Southwell, Whenapoet obliged at 15-8, having been backed down from 3-1. And the Mick Channon trained Hold The Note gained a 3/4 length win under jockey Aiden Coleman, winning at 3-1.
