Two kilometre pursuit through Redovan ends with police arrest

For the second time in two months, the Local Police have arrested a young man, 19 year old MEM,  after he allegedly attempted to break into a house in Redovan.

The arrest took place early on Wednesday morning when the local police attended a break in at Calle San Vicente Ferrer, after the homeowner had called, advising that someone was trying to break into the property through a window.

The agent who attended the call said that he saw the accused running from the house in the direction of la Senda Masquefa, the Masquefa Trail. He is said to have run through gardens, across terraces and fences, until he reached an area of marshland 2 kms away that was overgrown with reeds.  

He is said to have hidden in a pipe which he where he was found and arrested by the police.

MEM has already been arrested twice this summer, the first in July when he was also chased across rooftops until he was eventually caught. He has since been handed over to the Guardia Civil.
