There really was an International flavour to the football at Pinatar Arena earlier in the week when the Indian premier league team Bengaluru FC brought its Spanish training session to a close with a 0-3 defeat against Baniyas SC from the United Arab Emirates.

In spite of the adverse result the team, managed by former Barcelona assistant manager, Albert Roca, and including former Middlesboro player John Johnson, spent more than ten days in San Javier preparing for their Asian Cup semi-final against North Korea’s Club April 25 that will be played in North Korea next Wednesday.

During their stay at Pinatar Arena Bengaluru played games against UCAM CF, FC Cartagena and Baniyas SC.
