SPEKE TENNIS TEAM ON TOUR

A team of 6 men, who form the second team of the David Lloyd centre in Speke, Liverpool, visited the Costa Blanca on a whirlwind tour, last weekend.
The team arrived on Thursday night and left on Sunday. During this time they fitted in a lot of tennis. They based their tour at the Campoamor[golf] club, on the tennis courts based in the centro deportivo. On the Friday morning they received 3 hours of squad training with Campoamor club pro, Steve Durie, followed by lunch and drinks on the hotel terrace with beautiful views, due to it's elevated position, all the way down to La Manga and over the Mar Menor. Then on the Saturday they played a match against team players and those attending the social sessions at Campoamor. After nearly 4 hours of play the match ended in a draw.

After a Saturday night out, the visiting players didn't manage to make the regular Sunday morning club session. Club coach, Steve Durie, would like to thank Dennis Kehoe for organising the visit of the Speke team and to extend a welcome for a re-match.
