Unfortunately, no games for Elche this weekend, but at least plenty of good ones on the television, but plenty to look forward at Elche with games this coming weekend against a touring team and the Baa-Baas game only two and a half weeks away, so make sure you get your tickets for this monumental event.
At Elche RFC we are always looking to strengthen our squads - Juniors, Seniors and Vets so whatever your age, standard or availability we have a team suited to you. Just come along on one of our match or training days and find out for yourself. And with a couple more new experienced English players joining the squad the future for the first team is looking very bright.
This coming weekend we are hosting Cartagena in a round robin for the first team players on Sunday 13 May at 11.30. With Cartagena bringing up their touring team from Ireland to play against Elche and themselves. This is a last minute arrangement, and is another sign of Elche's commitment to push the sport in this area, and the bonding between the clubs of likeminded ideas. So come on over and watch the games and pick up your tickets for the Baa-baas match.
Don't forget the Baa-Baas v Spain game that will be played at Elche's Football Stadium, Martinez Valero on Wednesday 23rd May 2007 at 19.30. For more information about this event please contact either Garry on 618 048 532 or Stuart on 647 618 463.
If you would like tickets for the Baa-Baas v Spain match contact Garry on 618 048 532 or go to the following selling points, Witches Cauldron in La Hoya, The Card Place in Benimar, Sports and Leisure in Villa Martin, The Leader newspaper, the Post Box in Doña Pepa, Fairwayz in Dolores, Andrew at La Vila RFC on 610 611 619 for that area and Impact Bookshop in La Marina. Also for the commemorative rugby shirts go to Sports and Leisure in Los Dolses/Villa Martin to order them or call Garry.
Training is on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9-11pm for the Seniors and Juveniles, and 8-10pm for the Cadetes, Infantiles and the Alevines at the Cuidad Deportiva Municpal in the north part of Elche on Avenida de la Libertad, just across the road from The Ibis Hotel. Or you can contact us by phoning Garry on 618 048 532 or Stuart on 647 618 463. So, if you are missing the fun and social life of playing rugby, why not dig out your old boots and come along to Elche Rugby Club. All ages welcomed 6-60.
