As you drive into the Blue Lagoon Urbanization from Campoamor on the main road to San Miguel, (about 5 minutes drive inland and just past the Mercadona supermarket at Pueblo Principe) you will find the thriving community of Blue Lagoon.
Also known as El Galan or Las Filipinas, Blue Lagoon has a real community spirit with in excess of 700 residential homes plus a wide variety of services and shops. There are several cafes, bars and restaurants representing nationalities including traditional Spanish, Chinese, Indian, Irish and British. So here is something for everyone, from the family-friendly Royal Oak pub, to the busy Peysu property office and Terry´s general store at the bottom of the hill. There are also a variety of restaurants, including the Indian Garden.
Go up the hill from the roundabout and you pass Euronics, a first class Electrical Shop, quality food at the Captains Table and many other stores, restaurants and bars on your right-hand side. Further up the hill, across from the Blue Lagoon arch itself, is the Pitch and Pint Irish pub and further up the hill and to the right is the hidden gem of the Disseny Lounge Bar.
There are several businesses inside Blue Lagoon urbanization itself, including Costa Villa Property sales and rental. There is also plenty of parking in the centre of the area, a lot of it by the main roundabout. You can also get there using the bus which runs once an hour in a circular route from Playa Flamenca to Cabo Riog.
