Following the declaration by Alone football club that it cannot pay their players' wages and has not done so since January, several of the first team have already taken advantage of the club's willingless to release them in order to reduce it's outgoings. David Martin has already gone to Torrellano, Chiqui was due to follow him after the match against Jove Español, while Chema is also in negotations with the same club. Vicente is off to Almoradi while Santi Penalva goes to Altea. All these clubs are currently strong contenders for promotion to the third division from the Preferente. More players are expected to move on quickly and what the future of the club is nobody knows.
In Thursday's match at Jove Español, the score was 3 - 1 to the home team, who scored twice within the first 10 minutes. Alone got one back after half an hour, but a third goal against them in the second half killed off any hope they had of saving the game. Assuming that the club itself survives this crisis, there is a real danger is that it could be relegated if they lose their remaining games, which is entirely possible if they become further depleted. This weekend they are at home to Sueca, who have themselves flirted with the relegation zone for most of the season. At the moment it is uncertain how many of the regular Alone first team will still be at the club to take the field.
