I would like to share my experience with all the horse and animal lovers out there seeking for something better than what they've found so far:
After not having sat on a horse in 17 years I finally decided to go to some nearby stable to find out about riding classes. I was riding there twice a week for about 4 months, happy about doing it again after such a long time but very frustrated because the place, the teacher and the horses just weren't suitable to really learn riding. What I did learn was basically how not to fall off and not how to use my hands and legs, and all the other necessary things were just not explained. The horses didn't look healthy or happy and were not well kept. The teacher never seemed to care about anything.
Then somebody told me about another place in San Miguel run by a Spanish couple. One day I got so fed up with the place where I was taking classes, so I left and went to check out that other place that had been recommended to me.
On my first visit I was quite impressed. The horses looked fantastic, healthy, strong, with a shiny coat. No wonder, they get 6 meals a day! And they are treated just the way they deserve it, talked to, petted & simply taken care of.
A few days later I went for my first lesson. It was absolutely fantastic and I realized how much I still had to learn! Finally somebody explained to me how a horse functions and what the rider needs to know and do to be at one with the horse.
The place is on the main Orihuela - Torrevieja road, just on the other side of the town of San Miguel.
Whether you want the best care for your horse and maybe also have it trained by professionals or take dressage classes, this is the place for you (and your horse)!
You can just drop by or call 646 42 58 94.
I'm so glad I've found a place where animals are treated in such a wonderful way. And, once again, it's proven that the Spanish can also be great animal lovers although most foreigners out here would disagree.
