THE TORREVIEJA COSTA LIONS CLUB HOLD HANDS ACROSS THE SEA.

At the May business meeting of the Torrevieja Costa Lions, Lion President Iain Bennett was delighted to announce the twinning of our local Lions Club with the Engey Lions Club of Reykjavik, Iceland.

There are over 40,000 Lions Clubs in the world today, all under the stewardship of Lions Clubs International ,all of the clubs have an affilliation with each other as a result. The Twinning process brings Clubs closer together in understanding, fellowship and friendship and Clubs may only twin with  Clubs from another country.

To mark the occasion two of Engey Lions past Presidents, Halldora Thorvaldsdottir and Kata Arnadottir attended the Club business meeting and presented Iain with a pictorial book of the stunning scenery and lifestyle of Iceland and its people.
Both Clubs look forward to a close bond between the Clubs and the prospect of inter club visits in the future.
