Franns Rilles Melgar the Bolivian who lost his arm in an accident in an Elche bakery has been given residency by the Spanish authorities on his release from hospital. Good on them. They guy was being exploited by his employers with terrible working conditions and ridiculously low wages. The fact that the owners dumped him 200yards from the hospital shows the type f treatment that he has had to endure during his time here. So it’s good to see the authorities not looking at everything in terms of black and white but offering a little common sense and compassion to a guy who, ok shouldn’t have been here, who has put up with quite a bit since his arrival in Spain.
Good news that Torrevieja town hall has decided to give holiday-makers, and residents, a break over summer from the disruption caused by the construction of the new desalination plant. For although it is necessary, and the sooner the better, freeing up the roads during the peak period will make everyone’s life a little easier.
Summer sales offer plenty of bargains for shoppersas stores reduce their prices in an effort to get things moving. This applies across the board too with car buyers benefitting from drastically reduced prices and most businesses now offering potential=al clients a much better deal than they could have got before. Good news for us punters.
