ELITE GOLF SOCIETY AT VILLA MARTIN - Saturday 12 th May 2012

An away trip for Elite today and we visited one of our sister courses, Villa Martin. Unfortunately the greens were in a very poor state and played very slowly.
Despite the slow greens our winner today, Jack Simpson, returned a very good score of 41 points.
In second place with 36 points was our Captain Stuart tosh, Toshy just taking second place from Brian Harrison who returned the same score of 36 points but lost on a countback of the last nine holes.
Our nearest the pin winners were on the 6th and 17th holes Barry Roehrig, the 9th hole Brian Bevan and the 13th Glynn Chappell.
In our two's competition only one was scored today and that was on the 17th hole by Barry Roehrig, unfortunately for Barry hole number 6 was drawn from the hat so its another rollover to next Saturday at la Finca.
Our best dressed golfer today was our senior member Bertie Swindles, hard luck Bert you have been playing well lately but its back to earth with a bump today. I hope you and Dorothy enjoy the wine.
