Anyone Fancy Buying a Boat?
Contributor / 2006-03-13 14:54:42
Turning the clock back 4 years to when we bought a house off plan) in sunny Spain, we spent the winter nights thinking about all the activities we would take up when we retired and moved to Spain; learn to speak Spanish, hill walking, buy a caravan, explore Spain and other countries in Europe, take up sailing, buy a boat (either power or sailing) for those long hot summer days.
As our house was almost a year late, the caravan was the first item we bought. Now that we are here, up to now, the reality has been somewhat different from our visions of a leisurely life. This has been due to the amount of work required in our garden. Not even a path to the front door was provided, sow e have learned new skills, all relating to building walls and working with cement etc.
Does this ring a bell with anyone? As all this is (almost) behind us, the time has come to take up the above activities. With the better weather approaching, the first thing to do is buy a boat, but when we do, it can't be in use all of the time so it is feasible to share with someone. Does anyone feel the same? Is anyone willing to sell a half share in a boat, or would anyone be interested in buying a boat - either power or sailing - between us? If so contact us on 610 632 152. We live near Mazarron.
